What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Ludwig Museum for its significant collection of American Pop Art and its unique focus on Eastern and Central European contemporary art. The interactive exhibits are a highlight, offering an engaging experience. However, some find its location a bit out of the way from the main tourist hubs.
"I absolutely loved my visit! The museum had such a peaceful atmosphere, and the exhibits were both bold and thought-provoking. I especially appreciated the works by local Hungarian artists. A must visit if you’re into modern and contemporary art ✨"
Orsolya Molnár
"Very beautiful on the outside and very empty on the inside. There are few exhibits in my opinion, the whole first floor is completely closed, all the literature in the shop is in Hungarian, I wish there were books on art and architecture in English as well. In general, it is worth a visit to broaden your horizons, but you should not expect much"
Anna A
"Currently most of the museum's offer is not available due to renovation. What is worse, there is no warning about it!
Moreover, there is a sign inviting people to enter, saying that they're renovating the information desk, but "exhibitions remain open". That is not at all true, as only a fraction is available, and I feel cheated!
The person selling tickets just sold me a ticket like everything is normal."
