Reviews Summary
Városliget is widely praised as a beautiful and expansive park offering a diverse range of attractions for all ages. Visitors love the fairytale-like Vajdahunyad Castle, the vibrant winter ice rink, and the ample green spaces for relaxation and recreation. Some find the paid restrooms inconvenient, and the hot air balloon ride is noted as being quite pricey.
"Take a break from the city in the city park
A beautiful park area complete with castle and house. We had a lovely walk around the park which was a welcome escape for the bustle of the centre. We walked along andrassy from our hotel to the park which took around 15-20 minutes. Its really worth it to see the beautiful houses along the way."

"A perfect place for families in the heart of Budapest! 🌳✨ City Park (Városliget) offers everything you need for a fun and relaxing day — wide green spaces, a beautiful lake, playgrounds, and safe walking or cycling paths. Right next to Heroes’ Square and the stunning Vajdahunyad Castle, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. Children can run freely, feed the ducks, or enjoy the open areas, while parents can relax with coffee or simply enjoy the scenery. A must-visit for anyone traveling with kids! 👨👩👧👦"

"Reasonably priced. Bought a mens and women's fast pass. Wristband given to Access facilities and for temporary locker. Spent 3.5 hrs there in December. Outdoor baths feel great. Exterior should have the paint refinished, air dryers in bathroom are weak, and pools are often very busy. Great place to visit with spouse, children, friends, or alone, very relaxing and overall pleasant to look at."
