Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Eger Market Hall for its authentic Hungarian street food and fresh produce, highlighting the great value for money. The lively atmosphere and friendly local vendors add to the charm, though some advise avoiding pre-prepared items like burgers.

"I Love places like this. Even in winter you can find fresh food here. Upstairs you can find local “street food”.
I can only imagine what is happening here in summer and autumn."

Peter Finch

"If you are in Eger, don't miss this place! The best way to get great, cheap food is to come here, go upstairs and check out the offerings: Hungarian fried bread (lángos), various fried meats, white and black puddings and many more. Avoid burgers and chips, they are usually made ages before sold. But give everything else a go!
Then stroll downstairs and buy some local fruit for dessert, they are so much nicer than supermarket stuff.
My favourite places here are: the pickles shop and the stands for locals, who are usually old women selling their fruits/vegies/flowers from their little gardens. Buy from them :)"

Judit McPherson

"Some good produce to be found. You can buy real local wild mushrooms and they will also inspect it for you of you gather some in the forest"
