"A beautiful, smaller, and cozy zoo. It’s definitely worth a visit we really enjoyed the atmosphere. At the entrance you can buy animal feed, or also at the snack bar near the elephants. Throughout the day there are different programs or “shows” with animals, usually with commentary in Hungarian. We saw the penguins walking outside their enclosure and being fed with fish it was wonderful to see. :)
There are several animals you can feed directly from your hand camels, donkeys, deer, goats, and capybaras. The most special ones are probably the capybaras. I haven’t seen another zoo where you can actually go into their enclosure and feed them. Feeding takes place from 14:00-16:00 during which time you can also be with them and touch them.
In the zoo we found 2 snack bars with food and 2 with ice cream and refreshments. The food offer is the same – gyros, hot dogs, nuggets, and hamburgers. Quick and simple meals, but nothing you couldn’t eat.
Parking is available right next to the zoo or in the nearby area. Tickets to ZOO can be purchased online through their website or directly on site. If you buy them online, you can skip the line though it probably depends on what time of day you arrive. We really liked it here and I’d gladly come back again."
