What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally have a positive experience at Aquaréna Mogyoród, with kids particularly enjoying the thrilling slides. The park is spacious and clean, and weekdays offer a less crowded atmosphere. However, some find the entry and food prices high, and the limited shade can be a drawback.
"We recently visited Aquaréna in Mogyoród and had a great time overall. The kids absolutely loved the super-fast slides, and the park is spacious and relatively clean, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the day. It wasn’t crowded at all, which was a big plus.
There’s parking available, though it’s on gravel, so something to be aware of. While the facilities are decent and the staff were friendly and helpful, we did find that both the entry fee and food prices were quite high for what you get. Also, it’s a bit of a shame that there’s no wave pool, which would’ve added to the experience.
That said, the slides alone made the visit worthwhile for the kids!"

"The place is nice overall and the kids had lots of fun, but:
- if you buy sunbeds you have to carry them yourself from the entrance through the complex until you find a spot that has some shade. The sunbeds are also not lightweight.
- spots with shade are limited to just a few umbrellas for possible 1k tourists.
- there are some places with shade from trees, but there's no grass so you have to either put you beach towel on the dirt or you buy and carry your own sunbed.
- the food is not that good (eatable though), maybe better to bring your own sandwiches.
- we bought tickets online, but still had to wait in a smaller queue for some reason, but the wait was under 10 minutes.
I gave 3 stars, but maybe I gave too much."

"Lovely, well-kept water park. The water was on the cooler side but refreshing, and it wasn’t crowded. You can rent sunbeds, buy towels, use the many umbrellas, bring your own food/drinks, or eat at the on-site snack bar. Overall, a very positive experience"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the most of your family visit, consider bringing extra towels and swimwear as kids tend to spend a lot of time in the water. Packing snacks and drinks is also a smart move to keep energy levels up without breaking the bank. Arriving early on a weekday is highly recommended to secure a spot with some shade, which is crucial for keeping children comfortable throughout the day.
💰 Budget Travelers
Consider visiting on weekdays to potentially find better deals or simply avoid peak pricing and crowds. While there's an entry fee, the ability to bring your own provisions makes the overall cost more manageable. Look out for any online ticket promotions that might be available.
🎢 Thrill-Seekers
To maximize your ride time, aim for weekday mornings when queues are typically shorter. Be prepared for potential waits on busier days, but the exhilarating experience of these slides is often worth it.

Navigating the Slides
Some visitors have noted changes in how certain rides, like the lazy river, are managed, with restrictions on prolonged enjoyment using mattresses. Lifeguards are present to ensure safety, and while they maintain order, some feel it can occasionally detract from the spontaneous fun experienced in the past. It's worth noting that queues can become significant, especially on weekends or in the afternoon, so strategic timing is key to maximizing slide time.
When planning your slide adventures, consider arriving early or visiting on weekdays to minimize wait times. If you're looking for the most intense experience, the 'Free Fall' is a must-try. For a more relaxed but still fun ride, the rafting slide is a good option. Remember to check park rules regarding cameras and phones on slides for safety.
Comfort and Shade: A Visitor's Challenge
To combat this, many recommend bringing your own sunbeds. While these can be heavy to carry from the entrance, they offer a guaranteed comfortable and shaded resting place. Renting sunbeds is an option, but it doesn't solve the shade problem on its own. The lack of grassy areas further emphasizes the need for personal comfort solutions like bringing your own mats or chairs.
For those who prefer not to bring their own equipment, arriving very early on weekdays is the best strategy to find one of the few umbrella-shaded spots. Alternatively, embracing the sun and staying hydrated is crucial. Consider strategic breaks in the indoor or shaded food areas if shade becomes a priority during peak hours.
Dining Delights and Budget Bites
However, a common point of feedback is that the food prices can be quite high. This has led many visitors to suggest bringing your own sandwiches and snacks as a more economical alternative. While the park allows outside food, planning your meals can significantly impact your overall budget for the day.
If you choose to dine in, expect a well-run operation with tasty options. For those on a tighter budget, packing a picnic is a practical solution that doesn't compromise on enjoying the park's attractions. The availability of both options provides flexibility for different visitor needs.
