What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unique geological formations and the absolutely stunning panoramic views of Lake Balaton. It's considered a well-developed, family-friendly site with a short, accessible hike. Some note that restrooms may be unavailable in winter and wish for more respect for the natural site from some visitors.
"Very pretty, but very short hike. It is possible with even very small children. If you want any kind of a hike I recommend parking at the bottom of the hill and hiking up. Overall there is not much to see there, but it is very unique for Hungary, and it is well developed (with railings, signs and a visitor center) and therefore with a trip."

"Must-visit unique formation of basalt. The surrounding area and park is well-preserved and maintained. We really loved the trail up to the top of the rock and from there the panorama is breathtaking over Balaton. During off-season the parking and entrance is free. But even the seasonal fees are fair. Unfortunate that you can't use the restrooms during winter, which can cause a lil' trouble for people in need especially after hiking up to the entrance. Next to the parking lot there is an extremely adorable and colourful, nature-themed playground for children to let the steam-off. But still even against this and all the information boards uneducated parents let their children climb on the protected sight or let themselves wander behind the closed areas, despite CCTV is also in use."

the enreance fee (to the parking lot) is 1200 Huf/pax
