Tips for not making the line to Museum of Natural History an all-day event
We purchased tickets for 10:30 entry, missed it. Think they’ll honor the unused tickets next day? Long story is I goofed hard on subway directions, teens didn’t dress for weather and seem unable to stand for hours plus in this nor’easter weather. We were thinking to try again…

South Jersey to Museum of Natural History
Hi everyone— anyone have any advice? Driving in to the Museum of Natural History from ocean county NJ (Manahawkin). What time do we need to leave to arrive by 9:45ish? Should we go for the Lincoln tunnel or GWB? Are we screwed no matter what we do? 🥴 Thanks!!
Free entry to Museum of Natural History?
Two years ago I went to NYC and got to enter the museum for free after 5/4:45. I’m going again with a friend, and was trying to find out if that’s still possible but can’t find any record of it online, even in the past. Did I hallucinate this trip? Or was it some sort of limited…

Museum of natural history question
My family is headed to NYC for thanksgiving. We would like to go to MONH. When I go online for tickets, you have to pick times for all the different exhibits (whales, butterflies, elephants, etc…) and they all have to be 1 hour apart. There’s about 5 of them plus the others…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the JPM Natural History Museum interesting, particularly its collection of mammoth bones and stuffed animals, with a fun dig pit for kids. However, the experience can be marred by the strict cash-only policy and the lack of restrooms, as well as occasional unhelpful staff interactions.
"It's not a very big museum, but what you can see is interesting. We had a great time with our 9 year old child."
Erika Horváth
"The Museum is small, but the collection of exhibits is very interesting. Unfortunately, the cashier lady is not very nice, she is reluctant to answer questions, and she is not known for her hospitality. This spoiled the atmosphere a bit. There is no toilet, and you can only pay in cash."
Gyula Sági-Sigér
"It's outrageous that they don't say on the website that it's closed until 08.23 for technical reasons. That's why we came to Pécs!"
