Getting from Hellnar to Arnarstapi

I'd really like to do the hike from Arnarstapi to Hellnar but preferrably without the return leg. Is there some kind of bus or taxi that I could take to fetch our car?

reddit.com

I cannot recommend enough that you spend a few days exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula. You will want to make sure you have snacks in the car as there aren’t a ton of restaurants or stores available, but it’s truly incredible.

It is dense with awesomeness. The hike between Arnastapi and Hellnar is magnificent (as is the fish soup at Fjoruhusid at the end of the trail on the Hellnar side). And the viking sushi boat tour we did out of Stykkisholmur was a trip highlight. And we didn't even climb…

"This is a geologically interesting viewpoint where on a fair weather day you can easily walk down to the rocks and beach below. There is a lot of bird activity here and its a great stop for photos. Be sure to take a moment as you arrive or depart to stop and see the quaint little Hellnar Church as well."

"Hellnar Viewpoint is a quiet slice of Icelandic coastal magic — the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe in the sea air, and just take in the moment. A must-stop on any Snæfellsnes itinerary."

Shiela Kim

"Gorgeous spot - we had a beautiful sunny day, warm, and minimal wind (in late May). We happened to see a seal in this spot who was also enjoying the warmth. Glad we stopped and walked down. We for sure would have missed the seal."
