"This is facility created by a handful of four companies in Iceland. About 129 kms from Reykjavik this place is a small village with 17 people, a Bistro, a hotel and the information center. Now being operated by a company named Into The Glacier. People are very helpful. We had booked a trip to visit the ice cave. This company conducts the trips to the caves. The attached Bistro served lunch with sandwiches and pizza ina buffet format. The guides helped us print the vouchers. The information.center also provides additional clothing for the adventure trips including shoes to walk on ice. Inside the cave they provide crampons. The arrangement for the trips are superb, very safe and professional. Husafell is the starting point from where you use a special truck converted to a bus erstwhile used by NATO with auto inflation regulated tyres, for the trip to climb the glacier. There are no metal.roads after this point. In case the weather becomes inclement there are alternative staying option in the hotel. Overall the experience has surpassed all expectations."

"Location and hotel were really nice. Word of advice if you bring your own wine to dinner they charge a corkage fee equal to their cheapest bottle of wine (7,000 ISK) which is very high. Northern light wake-up call is a must. We were lucky to see them at 10:00pm."
