"Kirkjufell Mountain is absolutely stunning and one of the most iconic sights in Iceland. You can actually see it right from the highway, and there’s a super easy parking lot just off the road, which makes stopping to take photos really convenient. The shape of the mountain is so unique—it almost doesn’t look real. Whether you’re catching it with the waterfall in front or seeing it during sunset, it’s breathtaking every time. Definitely one of those must-see spots that captures the magic of Iceland’s landscape!"

"Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) is probably the most easily recognisable landmark on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It is included in many travel videos and promotion material for Iceland due to its beautiful natural shape which many believe resembles a church.
The mountain is located near Grundarfjörður which is in general a very beautiful around for such a mountain. It is 463 metres tall and can be climbed during season (15 June to ) along the south by southwest ridge but this is only recommended for experienced mountain climbers and it is prohibited to climb out of season as it is considered too dangerous.
You can view Kirkjufell quite nicely from your vehicle as you drive past. There is a private carpark (1000kr per vehicle) at Kirkjafellfoss (waterfall) where you can exit your vehicle see a set of cascading falls and enjoy seeing the mountain. You can take lovely photos of the mountain with the falls from certain positions."
