"It was a pleasure to visit this very historic Gurudwara sahib located in the old part of Varanasi a short distance from the Ganga river. This Gurudwara was built in the 1950s and is lovingly maintained by a local committee. There are historic relics associated with Sri Gure Teg Bahadur Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur here. These include the shoes of 7 year old Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji when Guru Sahib came here in 1673 (en route to Anandpur Sahib from Patna) and a robe (chola) worn by Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji.
