Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Akbar's Tomb Sikandra for its majestic architecture, serene gardens, and peaceful atmosphere, often noting it as a less crowded gem compared to other Agra monuments. The affordability and well-maintained grounds are frequently highlighted as major positives, offering a satisfying historical and visual experience.
"I am into photography, i visited here somewhere around 6:30 AM. It took hardly 10 mins for me to get the ticket which i purchased online and kept my bag at the locker and reach the entrance on Sunday. Hardly there was any crowd that time other than the locals. The place is very calm and peaceful. I was there for some 2-3 hours relaxing and exploring the place, clicking photographs.
The place will offer you parking facilities, eating points outside the monument, water facilities, public toilets, lockers obviously for keeping bags and they will give the key to you once you lock it."

"The Tomb of Akbar is a truly wonderful and well-maintained historical site that offers a peaceful and enriching experience. My recent visit was very satisfying, and I highly recommend it.
Right from the start, we were impressed. There's plenty of parking available, and the entry fee is a very reasonable ₹25 per person. The place immediately welcomes you with a beautifully maintained garden. The greenery is absolutely fascinating, filled with a wide variety of trees that provide ample shade and shelter for countless squirrels and peacocks. There are even stone benches along the pathways, perfect for relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere.
Security guards at the entrance verified our tickets, and the entire compound was very clean and well-kept. We explored the main tomb and appreciated its details, which we supplemented with some online research. A big plus was that the place was not crowded, which made it easier to enjoy the monument and its history at our own pace. You can enter all areas with your footwear except for the main section with Akbar's tomb.
Inside the same compound, to the right of the main entrance, you'll find another monument called Kanj Mahal. It's great that a single ticket covers entry to both, giving you more to see.
While guides were available, we opted to explore on our own. We also had a pleasant experience with a seller who sold us a fridge magnet at a very fair price like 5 pieces for 100, which was a refreshing change as we didn't encounter any pushy vendors trying to sell overpriced souvenirs. The site also has washrooms, which is always a good thing to note.
Overall, it was a very well-rounded and satisfying experience."
