A large, peaceful crowd had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, British India, to protest against the Rowlatt Act and arrest of pro-independence activists Saifuddin Kitchlu and...

"Huge space, has 8 galleries each needs 30 mins atleast. You can get a guide and also has a 7D show which we had to miss. Loved our time there, only advise dont underestimate and keep ample time specially if you are history buff. Museum covers wars from Sikh gurus to modern Kargil war and how Sikh regiments have contributed."

"A Powerful Tribute to the Brave – A Must-Visit Memorial
The Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum is an extraordinary place that left me both humbled and inspired. Located near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, this museum is a powerful tribute to the brave soldiers of Punjab who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
The architecture of the memorial is striking — the soaring central sword sculpture and flame symbolize valor and honor. The museum itself is beautifully designed and very well maintained. Inside, it’s not just about reading history — it’s an immersive experience.
From the moment you enter, you’re taken through various galleries that showcase Punjab’s rich military history, dating back to ancient times through to the modern Indian Armed Forces. The exhibits include authentic weapons, uniforms, medals, and detailed accounts of famous battles. The 7D theater is a highlight — it gives a goosebump-inducing reenactment of war scenes that makes you feel the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers in a very real way.
One section that really moved me was the display of letters, photographs, and stories of individual martyrs. It puts faces and emotions to the names we often hear. It’s a reminder of the real people and families behind the headlines.
The museum staff are helpful and respectful, and the overall environment encourages quiet reflection. It’s not just for history buffs — it's a place every Indian should visit to truly understand the price of our freedom.
I’ve uploaded a few photos from my visit, but honestly, no image can capture the emotional depth of this place. Salute to the heroes of Punjab and India. Jai Hind 🇮🇳"

"Visiting Punjab State Memorial and Museum was an incredibly enriching and engaging experience. The museum beautifully captures Punjab’s proud war history, showcasing stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience through well-curated exhibits and displays. It also offers a wonderful understanding of Sikh history — including the lineage of the Sikh Gurus and how the community finally decided on the Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru. This blend of war history and spiritual heritage makes the visit truly unique.

A very special mention to our guide, Dalbir Singh, whose immense knowledge and engaging narration brought the museum to life. He guided us through the exhibits for nearly 2.5 hours, weaving together historical facts with moving anecdotes in a way that kept us captivated throughout. My elder one was so engrossed in the stories that he asked Dalbir countless questions — every single one answered with patience, depth, and clarity. It was incredible to see how Dalbir’s knowledge turned the visit into a memorable learning experience for him as well.

I would highly recommend taking the guided tour if you want to fully appreciate everything the State Memorial has to offer. Thanks to Dalbir Singh, our visit was not only educational but truly inspiring for the whole family."
