"Visiting the Shobha Singh Art Gallery in Andretta was a truly enriching experience. The gallery beautifully preserves the legacy of the legendary artist Sardar Shobha Singh, whose paintings reflect deep emotion, culture, and spirituality. Each artwork tells a story — from his iconic portraits of Sohni-Mahiwal and Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the serene landscapes that capture the soul of Himachal.
The gallery is well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the natural charm of the Kangra Valley. It’s not just a place to see art — it’s a place to feel art. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates creativity and heritage.
Our visit became truly memorable thanks to Ms. Ritu, our knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her deep understanding of Shobha Singh’s life, artistic journey, and the history of Andretta made the tour fascinating. She explained every painting with passion and detail, making us feel connected to the stories behind them.
Ritu’s warmth, patience, and local insights added a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region — she turns a simple tour into a heartfelt journey."

"Sobha Singh Art Gallery is the home of legendary painter, Sardar Sobha Singh, where his descendants still reside. They are doing a yeoman service in keeping the legacy of the man alive. The rooms, artworks and relics of the great painter are kept as they were when they were used by him. The place is a repository of old black and white photographs of the house from its earliest days evoking a deep nostalgia. The place is full of history and still retains the old world charm that would have inspired the great artist to settle there. The must visit place for art lovers, nostalgia and quiet seekers and even casual tourists looking for a portal to escape into the not so distant past. The owners make a great effort to preserve the sanctity, quiet and solitude of the place and therefore it is recommended to help maintain the same by being silent admirers rather than noisy tourists."
