"The tomb is within the Shrine of St Alphonsa at Bharananganam. St Alphonsa was raised to sainthood only recently and ever since the shrine is full of pilgrims from all over the neighboring districts, and also from other places, and even from other states. St Alphonsa was renowned for her simple pious life and her endless physical suffering due to illness. One should say that the shrine is a beautiful place: solemn, calm and attractive. There is a very vast parking area in front."

"It was a very pleasant experience walking through the campus, where St. Alphonsa's Tomb is situated. The place is very well organised and managed. The old church where St. Alphonsa was ordained as a nun is kept intact and all rituals are carried out regularly as per schedule.
Other than the tomb of St. Alphonsa the campus has a pilgrim centre, a spirituality centre, a museum, an office complex and a canteen for visitors. Pious items of Christianity are available from shops inside and outside the complex.
A special mention required for the restrooms, the are absolutely neat and clean. But I couldn't find any wheel chair access anywhere.
A school for children also situated in the complex.
St. Alphonsa was canonized on 12th October 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI."
