"Had a Wonderful and memorable stay at Nilambag Palace Hotel, Bhavnagar. The palace itself is truly magnificent — the room was luxurious and gave the feeling of royal living from the 18th century. The entire property is beautifully maintained with a grand heritage ambiance and lush greenery all around.

The staff was extremely supportive, polite, and took the time to explain the rich history of Bhavnagar and Nilambag Palace, which made the experience even more special. I was also fortunate to meet Yuvraj Jaiveerraj Singh Gohil during my stay — it was a great honor and an unforgettable experience.

Overall, it’s a perfect place to experience royal heritage with comfort and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bhavnagar!"

"We stayed at Nilambag Palace during Diwali. The rooms were nice and had a lovely heritage charm. The property is well maintained and beautifully built, clearly designed to give that royal, vintage feel.

However, personally, I felt that the overall atmosphere at night was quite dull and heavy — mainly because the lights were very dim everywhere. I completely understand that the hotel wants to maintain a heritage look and ambience, and maybe that’s why the lighting is kept low, but for us, it felt a bit uncomfortable and gloomy.

Even my little daughter, who is just one and a half years old, seemed to feel it — every night when we returned to the hotel, she would start crying. The dim lights made the place feel uneasy for her too, so the two nights we stayed there were quite difficult. Again, I know this might not be the hotel’s fault, but I’m just sharing how we personally felt.

The garden area also had the same dim lighting, which made it less enjoyable in the evenings. Another practical issue is that the swimming pool is very far from the main hotel building — almost 1 km from the rooms — which makes it quite inconvenient for guests.

The only real disappointment was with the service and staff behaviour. We ordered butter rotis, but when they arrived, there was no visible butter on them. When we mentioned this politely, the staff insisted that butter was already applied. They didn’t take the rotis back properly, brought only one back later, and then started arguing with us. They even accused us of trying to avoid paying and said they would call security — which was very upsetting and unprofessional."

"This is Heritage type Hotel, Actually in olden days was Residing palace of Very Famous King of Bhavnagar, Presently in Gujarat State.
Hotel has beautifully displayed all necessity used in Olden days by king.
After conversion as Hotel Rooms are made available as per Categories and Decided Room Rents.
Big car paarking facility is available within Palace wall boundaries.
Cooperative Staff and eager to serve as per customer need Rather then Modern style of Breakfast Lunch Dinner Display.
Hotel management must improve its Serving counters with visible food items pan and transparent cover lid and more self service type with Actually Written on Table Menu Card for display listed items rather customer ask captain or Table serving person.
Hotel management could improve drive passage of car with beautifully laid artistic paver block with well mark car parking arrow and sqares for parked cars.
Hotel management must check ventilation need in each room with toilet exhaust fans and cover louvers with mosquito nets.
Hotel management must provide pole light at drive passage. Also consider black no light passages.
Some of beautifully displayed items need engineering maintenance and display touch.
Rooms are clean and Tidy, Hotel provides jobs too to local people.
This hotel is on State Highway within city traffic movement.
Hotel serves Veg Non Veg items at room service and at Restaurant.
One can feel relax with stay at Heritage hotel.
Hotel management may improve food preparation, food display, Table serving and less customer communication with more practical approach as per 5 star need.
Hotel stay is Good experience but needs really improvement.
Charges one can surely afford to pay may feel for higher considering expected satisfied feeling."
