Reviews Summary
Tiger Falls in Chakrata is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty and the powerful cascade, especially during monsoon. Visitors appreciate the scenic trek and the peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere, making it a refreshing escape. However, limited facilities and recent safety advisories regarding bathing are points to note.
"It takes around 1 hour to reach Tiger Falls from Chakrata if you drive at a safe speed. The first 15 km is a nice wide-open road, but the last stretch becomes a single lane — so drive slow and stay alert. The final 1.5 km is completely off-road, so be careful with both yourself and your vehicle.
The place itself is absolutely magnificent. The last downhill section (around 150m) is quite steep. Parking costs ₹150 for 2 hours — honestly, a bit expensive, but there’s no real alternative unless you want to park 5 minutes earlier (and finding a spot there is tough).
From the parking area, the waterfall is about 200–250m away and it’s an easy walk. But trust me — don’t go near the fall with your shoes on! The water pressure is so high that even if you don’t plan to take a dip, you’ll still end up soaked. You can leave your shoes near the guard or rent a locker for your clothes.
The view is just stunning — that raw force of water really hits you. It’s a thrilling experience, but the area near the fall can get slippery, so watch your step. Totally worth the visit!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely worth visiting!
Tiger Fall is around 20 km from Chakrata market, and the drive itself is very scenic and peaceful. The waterfall is truly beautiful — clean water, surrounded by nature, and perfect for spending some relaxing time.
You can reach the fall either by trekking or by bike once you arrive near the area. The trek is a bit tiring, so I would personally recommend taking the bike route if available 😄
There is no entry fee, which makes it even better. A small local shop is there where you can get snacks, Maggi, tea, etc. The people running it are very humble and kind — we bought some snacks just to support them because they were genuinely nice.
Overall, a must-visit place in Chakrata if you love nature, waterfalls, and peaceful surroundings. 🌿💧"

If you are bbq lover and lake size cooking freak then this place is for you.
We visited on weekends and though it was crowded, still wonderful.
You need to do approx. 1km trek to reach the waterfall but it's worth the effort"
