"My visit to Shri Kamta Nath Swami Temple in Chitrakoot was one of the most spiritually enriching experiences of my life. The temple, dedicated to Lord Kamta Nath—an incarnation of Lord Rama—is situated on the Kamadgiri Hill, which is considered the heart of Chitrakoot. According to legends, it is believed that Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana resided here during their exile, making the place deeply sacred.
As I began my parikrama (circumambulation) around Kamadgiri Hill, I was surrounded by devotees chanting “Jai Shri Ram” with immense faith. The path, about five kilometers long, was lined with small temples, monkeys, and vendors selling flowers and prasad. Despite the crowd, there was a strong sense of peace and devotion in the air. Every step of the parikrama felt like a journey closer to the divine.
The temple itself is beautifully built with traditional architecture and intricate carvings. Inside, the idol of Shri Kamta Nath Swami radiates divine energy, and the moment I entered the sanctum, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and positivity. The priests performed rituals with deep devotion, and the echoing chants created a powerful spiritual atmosphere."
