"Best place for morning and evening walks. The cool breeze and calm environment and sunset view melts our heart. We can spend a good time there. This place gives a lot of options for photography. A nearby goddess temple is also there. A small canteen and a small children's park are there. No tickets are collected so far. It's maintained clean and the lighting in the evening is mesmerizing. Roadside vehicle parking is available."

"As part of Coimbatore's Smart City scheme, a 25-foot-high steel sculpture of the famous Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar in a sitting pose, with written Tamil characters, has been placed near the Kurichikulam lakefront. The beauty of the 1,330 interlinked Tamil characters that make up the structure in honour of the 1,330 ‘Thirukkural’ written by Thiruvalluvar is a grand sight. The metal statue is made of steel. The entire structure includes a total of 247 ‘eluttukkal’ (alphabets), which comprise 12 ‘uyir eluttu’, 18 ‘Mei eluttu’, and 216 ‘uyirmey eluttu’, carved in steel.

It's an ideal spot for a long walk, and the statues around the lake add to its charm, making it a perfect place for photos. Recently, I visited while the Smart City is working to enhance further the beauty of the lake. Birds visit the area, making those moments even more captivating. It's a stunning place, especially for sunset watchers."
