Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Zonal Anthropological Museum for its vast collection and suitability for families, highlighting the diverse animal exhibits and unique plastic bottle art. However, some reviews note potential issues with access due to absent staff and the need for separate tickets for certain sections, suggesting a need for improved operational consistency.

"The museum is one place you should definitely visit in Dehradun, especially if you have school-going kids. It truly is vast from the inside, and you would need a minimum of 2 to 3 hours to cover everything inside the museum.

After taking in the ticket, the first thing you get to see are the various birds, right from regular parakeets to migratory birds. Then there is also a section where they have housed snake species from across the globe. There are two special sections: the cactus and plants section, and the second is the aquarium section. However, for entering inside both these sections, there are additional tickets you need to take in.

While moving inside the museum, you will also find an enclosure containing crocodiles and alligators as well as there is a section where you will get to see different types of turtles. At the exit cum entrance, there is a decoration they have made around a tree made entirely from plastic bottles. The colors and the decoration look fantastic and are definitely a photo clicking point.

All in all, the experience is excellent, they have washrooms at every point, and the museum overall is exceptionally well maintained. Definitely, a must-visit place."
