Visitors praise Sita Devi Lake for its pristine beauty, serene atmosphere, and historical significance, often describing the trek as rewarding. The belief in the lake's healing properties and its connection to the Ramayana adds a unique spiritual dimension. However, the lack of network and potential for wildlife necessitate caution and the recommendation to hire a local guide.

"Lovely calm pristine lake a 60 min trek away from club mahindra. Well worth tour time but advisable to take a local guide along with you."

nachiketa das

"This is a good place for a short trek and can be started from Club Mahindra Resort. The bike does not go this way. One side trek of about 1.2 km will be there. We didn't take the local guide with us but better take one as there is no network for phone and there may be wild animals like elephants. The lake is pristine and calm surrounded by tall pine trees and shrubs. The view is mesmerizing. The Chinnakanal waterfalls originate from here. It is believed that goddess Sitha Devi bathed in this lake and this lake possesses medicinal properties."

Dr Arya

"A beauty well hiden... historical connection...to times of ramayan..believed that devi seeta took bath here when they were in exile..the lake water is believed to have healing power... rich in minerals the water can heal skin problems is the belief..the view is just too beautiful..
It's better to take a guide along as the trek is quite lonely and with no cell connection.."
