What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Tushita Meditation Centre as a 'portal' to inner peace, praising its serene Himalayan setting and transformative Buddhist courses. The strict silence and digital detox are highlighted as key to its profound impact, though some find the steep location and restrictions challenging.
"This place is like a portal. As soon as you enter through the gate and starts moving through the trail, the sounds and noise from outside keeps mellowing down like a fade out used in a 1970s prog rock track. You will find yourself in complete silence. As you enter you go within. This is a must visit place for anyone looking to unwind and find a sense of calm or looking for a sacred safe space. It almost makes you feel like you are on a pilgrimage."

"Tushita Meditation Centre is a serene oasis! Beautifully landscaped gardens where you are free to roam around or spread a mat to reflect, meditate or just chill with a book. Even in the mist of monsoon it had a mystic charm to it. Mind blowing scenes of nature.
Apart from landscapes there are Buddhist courses , free walk in meditation in the morning. The wonderfully crafted Buddhist introductory course I attended was truly transformative. Our teacher's wisdom and guidance were invaluable, and the peaceful atmosphere of the centre allowed me to deepen my practice and connect with like-minded individuals. The tranquility of the space is palpable, and I felt my mind and heart heal with each session. Highly recommend Tushita for anyone seeking spiritual growth and inner peace 🙏❤️
Note- 10 day introductory course is not for everyone so please go over the details on the website before enrolling and make up your mind for silence, long meditation sessions, monk food ofcourse which according to me was delicious healthy and light on stomach."
