Phuldungri is a hillock which provides a magnificent panoramic view of the city of Ghatshila in Jharkhand, separated from the main range of Dalma hills.The hillock is a complete package of scenic beauty as it is fully covered by forest.The hillock  mostly is covered with Sal  and Mahua  trees.
There is a twisting trail covered with red pebbles through which one can drive up to top of the hill. The sun set and sunrise viewed from the hilltop is an unforgettable experience. This beautiful place attracts a lot of tourist.
The hill is completely covered by the forest and therefore, it becomes isolated after sunset, so, avoid visiting the hill during the dark hours. 🤍🤍 Located only 2 km away from the heart of Ghatshila, Phuldungri hill is a lovely sightseeing place. When you reach the top of the hillock, you will get to see the entire city quite vividly. You can even drive up to the top by taking the spiral pathway. A thick forest of Sal trees covers the whole hillock, and the route to the top is quite gorgeous. As the entire trail is covered with red pebbles, you will find the backdrop of the beautiful green trees against the road quite enchanting. The best time to visit Phuldungri hill is either during sunrise or sunset. When you go there at dusk or dawn, you will be stunned by the scenic view of the site. In case you want to try something new, you can trek to the top of the hillock. The route is quite gorgeous, and many adventure seekers often visit there by trekking. Phuldungri hill is iconic for another reason. Bibhutibhushan Bandophadya wrote his renowned novel, “Aranyak,” based on this hillock. As there are no nearby food stalls located over there, it would be better for you if you bring snacks and a water bottle with you.
