"I recently visited Purandar Fort, and it was an amazing experience! The fort is open for visitors from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

Once inside, there are two main attractions:

1. The Museum – A small yet informative place where you get a glimpse of the fort's history.

2. Trek to the Top – This is the highlight! The trek can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your pace. It's not too difficult, and the view from the top is totally worth the effort.

Important Notes:

The fort is under Army control, so phones and cameras are not allowed, which I found unique but understandable for security reasons.

The total time you'll need is around 3 hours, including trekking and exploring.

Must visit during the monsoon – the greenery, cool breeze, and misty surroundings make it a magical experience.

Carry your own water, as most shops are closed. However, there is a water facility near the museum.

One thing I really appreciated is that cleanliness is strictly maintained. Littering can lead to a fine, which encourages everyone to keep the place clean.

Overall, it’s a peaceful and refreshing trip – especially for those who love history and nature. Highly recommended!"

"A Memorable Visit to Purandar Fort 🧡🏰

I recently visited the historic Purandar Fort near Pune, and it was an unforgettable experience. As we climbed to the top, the atmosphere became surreal—thick fog surrounded us, limiting visibility to just five meters, adding a mystical charm to the journey. The fort, managed by the Indian Army, is well-maintained, with ID checks ensuring secure entry. The path to the fort is scenic, covered in lush greenery, making the trek both refreshing and adventurous.

At the summit stands the ancient Kedareshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Mahadev, and the panoramic views—when visible—are breathtaking. There’s also a small museum that beautifully narrates the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj, who was born here, adding to the site's historical significance.

While most of the fort is clean, it was disheartening to see plastic bottles littered near the top—visitors must act more responsibly. Overall, Purandar Fort is a must-visit for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and trekkers. The blend of heritage, natural beauty, and spiritual calmness makes it truly special."
