"The peaceful and one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling. It looked beautiful and peaceful. Go there in morning, I stay for 10 minutes clicked some pictures of view and left. There is chanting in the background and colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Recommended you to visit in Shiny Day for better feeling and capturing the vibes. The monastery consist of a monk school lots of little monks are seen, but they usually not allow to take pictures of them."

Ghoom Monastery, Darjeeling
A peaceful and beautiful place to visit! 🛕 When I went, it wasn’t crowded at all, which made the experience calm and special 😌. Inside the Buddhist monastery, one of the bhikṣus (monks) kindly called me over and offered me something to eat and drink 🥣🍵—such a heartwarming gesture. They even allowed me to take a photo with them 📸, which made the visit extra memorable.
While exploring, I actually saw how they make bags and decorative hanging items 👜🎐. The elderly women working there were so warm and kind—it truly touched my heart ❤️.
There’s also a small museum to explore 🖼️📚, which adds more depth to the visit. The locals were friendly and full of stories 😊, and by chatting with them I learned some interesting things about the culture and history 🗣️📖.
Oh, and the cute little dogs around the monastery 🐶 were just adorable and super friendly too!
