What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ashtapad Temple is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and family-friendly amenities like rides. However, some visitors have encountered strict entry policies for non-Jains, leading to disappointment. It's a place that offers serenity but requires awareness of its specific religious context and potential access limitations.
"There is one manager mukesh jain who is asking me to proof my wife is jain just to take food slip from the counter. Is this a joke in a religious temples to proof that you are jain or non jain? although there is no free food distribution service its paid even though such things happen. This is shameful. Come to our food distribution camps I assure you we will not ask your name, gender, or caste"

"Don't visit to Ashtapad Temple if you are not Jain. The temple is for people who follows Jainism. If you try to enter into the temple then Security Gaurd will not open the door until you present your Jain ID proof (Aadhar Card having Jain Caste ).
Requesting to the Ashtapad Jain Trust that please post the info on Internet that ONLY JAIN'S ARE ALLOWED. So, that other people will plan thier journey accordingly. Also, try to put a banner in front of Main Door that Only Jain's are allowed.
I travelled 100 km for Ashtapad and didn't get entry. Hope that other (Non Jain) people can save thier time from this post."

"Have been going here since my childhood and I still love this place. Peaceful, maintained and has temples, kids rides, boating, great views, gardens and complete family outing.
You can go for a tractor ride (a dummy elephant on it). Also there is a lotus temple here (jain temple) which is really unique. A long tower is the highlight surrounded by a small man made pool.
Special request - It's a religious place so please maintain the dignity of this place."
