"I've been here multiple times to accompany friends and family. Personally I don't like the concept of zoo, I prefer visiting national parks, yet, this place is good for taking your parents or maybe kids for a trip.
They have good number of animals like - tiger, white tiger, lion (male and female), Hyena, Leopard, Elephant, Single horn and double horn Rino, Hippopotamus, Ostrich, different types of deer etc. They have crocodiles, snakes and birds too. They also have a special butterfly park. They also have a giraffe but it was kept very far away so we couldn't see it properly.
Few key things to note:
1. The snake park and birds section has a special time constraint. It closes around 4-4:30 pm while the Zoo is open until 6 pm. So if you have come late, visit that first so that you don't miss it. It comes towards the end if you follow the recommended route. So you better change your route if you don't want to miss those.
2. It covers a large area so don't underestimate the time it might take to visit the full zoo. It could range from minimum 2 to 4 hours easily if you are walking. If not, they also have train and other methods of commuting, but you need to purchase ticket to that separately.
3. They don't allow you to take plastic or bags inside. You will have to pay a locker fee of 20 Rs to keep your stuff. However, girls and ladies are allowed to take handbag. Very strange and funny but true.
4. Ticket price was 100 Rs for an adult.
5. Carry your own big water bottle. Maybe carry 2-3 water bottles because if you go inside the main big canteen area will come very late! On the way they do have drinking water available but it feels more like chlorinated water. Definitely drinkable (if no other option) but it's better if you carry your own water bottle.
6. They also have a special park inside. I'm unable to recall the name. You can go there for a jungle safari experience. We couldn't go there."
