What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sirpur Lake is praised for its natural beauty, abundant birdlife, and free entry, making it a popular spot for picnics and peaceful walks. However, visitors note a lack of amenities like food stalls and restrooms, and express concern over littering and pollution, urging better administration and visitor responsibility.
"Such a beautiful and famous place... Internationally renowned.... But felt very sorry to see the state .... Local administration has made no proper arrangements for visitors to see and spend time on this lake .... This place should be promoted as a must visit place in Indore... Unfortunately it's not in the priority list of govt/administration..."

"I visited this place on sunday & here's what I think about it,
1- Crowd:- I was a little crowded as it was Sunday mostly there were families for picnic (mostly near by Villagers)
2- Food inside the place:- there is no such facility, but u can bring your own snacks / meal and enjoy with your friends & family (don't throw garbage in the lake or inside the premises)
3- Vibe:- 100/10 vibes, play some music and sit nearby the lake watch the waves and the cold breeze coming to you (the wind is too extreme, so girls carry your rubber band)
4- No entry charges
- As there are boards which says no pollution to the lake still I saw a man pouring milk into the lake and praying, people throwing garbage
- No drinking- is strictly mentioned on the board but still there were locals and visitors drinking (& making others uncomfortable)
I recommend visiting this place with your friends & family and carry your water(must) & meal (if needed) and enjoy this peaceful place this rainy season."

"Excellent spot for morning and evening walk. Went in the morning, lot of peacocks and squirrels. The greenery and sunrise vibe is worth the visit. Walkway surrounding the lake is clean and maintained."
