"Absolutely DIVINE and a live place. It’s a self styled Shiva Linga in the temple which is ages old and full of divine energy. The place is around 32 km from Varanasi Cantt in a village called Kaithi and slightly off route. There is an AC bus (no. 106) service from Cantt bus station for this temple at regular interval of around half an hour and it's a very easy way to reach the temple and return. Near to the temple is a ghat which is full of syberian birds and you can enjoy feeding them while on a boat ride. It will be a memorable experience for sure. All the devotees of Mahadev should come to this temple. Thanks"

"Markanday mahadev dham is situated at village kaithi.varanasi slightly off route.
Road from highway to temple under construction.
This temple is a simple structure. The idol of Lord Shiva in child form is installed here. A Shivalinga is also installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. There is a circumambulation path around the temple.
Lots of shops for offering outside the temple.
Shoes stand there.
Need more cleanliness and maintenance over there.
Overall it's a must visit religious place."
