Reviews Summary
Kaliveli Lake is celebrated as a fantastic destination for nature lovers and bird watchers, offering a chance to see numerous migratory species. While the roads can be challenging and water levels vary, the stunning sunsets and unique wetland scenery are consistently praised. Visitors recommend seeking local guidance for the best experience.
"The Kaliveli wetland is an awesome exploration area for nature lovers and bird watchers. It is a pretty big area. To reach there, it is better to take help of the local people. You can see many species of birds there, including Greater Flamingoes, Egret, Painted Stork, Pied Kingfisher, Open-billed stork, Spoonbill etc. I explored two different sites, during my two visits. One was a vast barren, dry land, stretching kilometres, while the other was green and had pools and streams of water. It was the latter area that had birds in abundance."

"Road to the lake bed is horrendous, not much of birds during September.... better do visit during November to February"
Surendra Rajendran
"The lake area as shown in the map is probably of monsoon season. When we went there in second week of February, the lake was almost fully dried, though some patches of disconnected water bodies were present. we were not able to see the lake but the view of the villages surrounding the lake was beautiful and the sunset there was awesome."
