"So, I heard about the amazing Kamaraja, and I really wanted to know more about him, you know?
The Kamarajar Mandapam was built to remember Mr. Kamaraj, who was the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for 13 years. He was famous for being simple and honest.
It's a great place to go, it's kept up really well, and it's super peaceful. It's a good spot for meditating, too. Plus, it's the best place to see where the rivers meet the sea and the beach. They have photos that show his life story, which is really cool. It's all organized nicely, and the surroundings are nice. It's a good place to bring the kids so they can learn about awesome people.
You don't have to pay to get in but the uncle who tells the stories about this will ask some money.

Another monument Kamarajar Manimandapam was raised and dedicated to Late. Sri. Kamarajar, The freedom fighter, Former Chief minister of Tamil Nadu, President of Indian National Congress. He was popularly known as Black Gandhi among the masses and king maker during congress regime. He is still called by all as “Perunthalaivar”. He played vital roles in the administration of TamilNadu, by introducing education for down trodden and also started the Noon Meal scheme for the students to encourage education. Development activities like Dams and Industries in Tamilnadu took place during his rule. This monument was constructed where his ashes were kept here for public to pay homage before immersion into the sea.

Kamarajar actively participated in the Indian independence movement, working alongside other prominent leaders to fight for India's freedom from British rule.

Like many other freedom fighters, Kamarajar faced imprisonment for his political activities against the British.

After India gained independence, Kamarajar continued to serve the nation as a politician. He became the Chief Minister of Madras State (now Tamil Nadu) and later served as the President of the Indian National Congress.

He is also known for his influence in Indian politics, particularly his role in elevating Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi to the position of Prime Minister, earning him the title "Kingmaker"."
