"I visited Vivekananda Rock Memorial on a public holiday. Even though I had booked tickets online, I still had to wait for more than an hour to reach the entry point. There was another long queue for the boat service.
They actually have different types of tickets, ₹100 and ₹300 (both available online and offline). Online tickets get a slight priority for the boat, but waiting is still unavoidable on busy days. The boat ride itself is short, around 5 minutes, but it’s quite enjoyable.
Once you reach the rock, there’s a separate entry ticket of ₹30 to explore the memorial. The place is very calm, surrounded by the vast sea, truly beautiful and peaceful.
The glass bridge connecting the Thiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda Rock is another highlight. Walking on it, with the sea beneath, is a wonderful experience. The Thiruvalluvar Statue itself is a masterpiece, stunning and majestic."

"Beautiful evening at the Vivekananda Memorial , had an amazing time walking through the glass bridge to the magnificent statue . Waiting for the ferry was eased as we used a counter with a bit higher fare with fast entry. The ferry ride was an awesome experience , just the ferrymen be more cautious on the number of passengers intake. Give a strong helping hand to older passengers to enter the ferry. I would suggest no standing passengers. Pics were allowed and the sea looked the most beautiful. Could see People from all over India together to this beautiful destination."

"It's a beautiful place without any doubt. But but i have to mention that the most mismanaged place also.
Take water, food and umbrella - this is the must. Online line booking system is there. You have to book ticket one day before and have to download the ticket. The entrance is not at all managed, still suggest to buy ticket before hand because it will little bit helpful to avoid the long queue. You should have enough time to visit place from entry to exit. if you are lucky one, then it will be another story ☺️. The special/online ticket is for 300/- each person and it is only applicable for the entry. When you will return from the rock the ticket facility is not valid, you don't have to buy the ticket again while returning. After reaching rock you have to buy ticket to visit the rock and others."
