According to history, Raja Shiv Chhatrapati found this temple. The best view of karwar,Kali River, and Arabian Sea from the top of the temple Durga bhavani temple situated in Sadashiv Gad, a village in North Karnataka, has an ancient history. From Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited in 1665 to Portuguese to East India co. In 1799. It was built in 1715 by King Basavalinga after the name of his late father the King Sadashiv.
