"I very much enjoyed my stay at this resort. It’s the only accommodation that non Indians are allowed to stay in on Kavaratti. I booked via Lakshwadeep Voyages (see attachments for details).
Staff are friendly and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable despite them being young, new graduates from the tourism academy. Jumana especially stood out for her helpfulness.
Jumana arranged a two hour Tuk Tuk tour around the island (beached shipwreck; Aquarium and Museum (shoes off in main exhibition hall); lighthouse (can be visited between 5-6 pm and must be done without shoes). Cost 250 Rupees an hour.
Packages are inclusive of 3 meals a day and all your drinking water. The food was simple but tasty. Despite all food needing to be shipped in, we got salads and fresh fruit. Other parties arranged to have their meals here, so the chef is clearly good! The restaurant is right on the beach.
The stated meal times (see photo) were often late by 15-30 minutes, especially dinner which was served at around 8:30 PM. Breakfast was always on time though, although they were flexible if you went diving before breakfast.
My unit had two bedrooms with four beds as well as a seating area on the balcony overlooking the sea. The air conditioning, fans and electricity all worked well. The WIFI was excellent. I had a TV but didn’t try it. Fridge worked. Everything was very clean. Water pressure was good, but there was no hot water. This didn’t matter as the water was warm and it was hot outside. I had a kettle and there was instant coffee and tea.
The one negative was a thin mattress on a wooden frame which led to a very hard mattress…
They graciously agreed to do some laundry for me at a modest extra charge.
The resort has a water sports center attached to it, including a Dive Center. Khaleel is a professional and safe instructor. He has been diving in the Lakshwadeep for 30 years. The Indian Air Force sends cadets to train with him. The equipment is top of the line Scuba Pro and well maintained.
Discover Scuba Courses take place in the Kavaratti Lagoon which is 200 meters in front of the resort. You can also snorkel there, but note that the coral is severally bleached, even at 30 meters. The sea was very warm last year and the overcrowding and environmental degradation on Kavaratti hasn’t helped. Still, I did see turtles, a Napoleon Wrasse, an eagle ray, several moray eels and a small shark while diving. Water temperature was 28C. The water has a high saline content, so you’ll need 20% more weight than usual.
Kavaratti is 2.5 hours by ferry from Agatti. Take seasick medication if you suffer from motion sickness. They provided a packed breakfast for my 6:30 AM ferry to Agatti.
Pro Tip 1: bring earplugs as the jackhammering; goats; roosters; tuk tuks etc.
make it hard to sleep otherwise. Also, an eye shade will make sleeping easier as the blue light from the air conditioners is very bright.
Pro Tip 2: bring seasick medication if you suffer from motion sickness as it can get rough on the ferries. Also, pack a sweater as the aircon is strong.
Pro Tip 3: eat a good breakfast before flying to Agatti and some snacks. You won’t get another meal until you reach the resort, and they might not serve dinner until 8 PM or later that day! And bring water. You can try buying water at Agatti Departures Terminal when you arrive, but it’s best to bring 1.5 liters with you.
I wouldn’t rate Kavaratti very highly as a tropical paradise, and am glad to be going to Bangaram next. But if you do come here, then I do recommend this resort."

"everything is great,
i went there every other day while i was in KVT for a month
