"Keylong is a small town en route to Jispa from Sisu. The Journey was so amazing. it is a small sleepy town in the himalayan region. I visited during the month of May, and it was just opened after the winter breaks. Roads were just cleared for vehicles to pass. I stayed near the bus stand at a small homestay, which gave amazing view of the snow cladded mountains. the night was really cold. However, during the day when we visited the streets it was pleasant. Its a peaceful small town, you can also have tasty himalayan food. during my visit to Manali and other places, this was the only place where the food was not costly and it was really tasty as well. I found a lot of siberian husky dogs on the street heard from the homestay owner that somebody got a pair of siberian husky and started gifting the puppies to all neighbourhood. Since the town is so small. There are many siberian huskies on the street. They look so beautiful. Place of accommodations are reasonably priced"

Keylong is a hidden gem in the lap of the Lahaul Valley — raw, peaceful, and beautifully untouched. Surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks and crisscrossed by ancient trails, the town offers a unique blend of natural beauty and quiet charm. Life here moves slowly, allowing you to truly breathe in the fresh mountain air and experience the simplicity of Himalayan culture.
Whether it’s the friendly locals, traditional monasteries like Shashur and Kardang, or just sipping tea while watching the Bhaga River flow, Keylong feels like a place where time pauses. It may not be buzzing with activity, but that’s exactly what makes it so special — it's a place to reflect, rest, and reconnect with nature.
