🛕 History & Significance
Khatu Shyam Ji is believed to be the manifestation of Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima in the Mahabharata.
Legend says that Barbarika gave his head as a donation (sheesh daan) to Krishna, who then blessed him to be worshipped in the Kaliyuga as “Shyam.”
The temple was originally built in 1027 A.D. by Roopsingh Chauhan (and his wife Narmada Kanwar) after a divine vision to find the buried head (Shyam Kund) and install it in a temple.
It is built primarily of white marble (Makrana marble) and has intricate architectural and decorative elements.

"HARE KA SAHARA, BABA SHYAM HAMARA... is the appropraite divine prayer that one prays and is given the solution. This place is located about 70 Km from Jaipur and is one of the most holiest and divine places in our country where LORD KHATU SHYAM is worshipped and prayed. A great place to visit and get rid of sufferings, pain and agony. However, because of the crowd and rush, the better time to visit is during the Navratri season. The crowd is pretty less and the visit can be done in a relatively easier manner."
