"Visiting Dhobi Khana Public Laundry was the highlight of our tour in Fort Kochi. It was incredible to see people still working hard, manually washing and handling huge loads of laundry.
An 85-year-old woman was still using a heavy charcoal iron, while others washed clothes by hand and hung them under the sun. Their dedication and hard work truly amazed me.
This is a fascinating place to visit in Kochi, especially in the morning when you can see their work in action. A small donation would be a kind gesture to support their medical care."

"Interesting visit of a public laundry centre in Fort Kochi:
We were told that the place was established by the Dutch to get their military uniforms washed. Until now this place is being operated by the local community to get clothes washed in a traditional way.
You get to see the washing sites, drying site and ironing sites. Surprisingly the white is really white.
It is nice to have a walk around. We came with a local tuktuk driver, who suggested to have a look."
