"Birla Academy of Art and Culture is one of Kolkata’s most respected cultural centers, located on Southern Avenue near Rabindra Sarobar. It was established by the Birla family to promote art, culture, and heritage in India. The academy houses a wonderful art gallery and museum that regularly hosts exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events.
The place has a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. The gallery displays paintings, sculptures, and artifacts from both Indian and international artists. Visitors can see a mix of modern and traditional art forms, which makes it interesting for all age groups. The building itself has a neat and well-maintained design, and the staff is polite and helpful. Apart from art exhibitions, the academy also organizes music and dance performances, lectures, and educational programs, making it an active hub for art lovers and students. The entry fee is affordable, and the experience is definitely worth it for anyone who enjoys creativity and culture.
Located in a calm neighborhood, it’s a perfect place to spend a quiet afternoon learning about India’s artistic heritage. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just someone looking for inspiration, the Birla Academy of Art and Culture offers a refreshing and enriching experience."

"Awesome and very nice place. This place is located on the same footpath on which the LakekaliBari is located. Just 1min form the Temple. On the ground floor it has the ticket counter. 2 to 3 Galleries are open and only 1 gallery is under going renovation, it will complete soon and will be open for public viewing. The main gallery which I liked the most is the Durga Saptashati one, on this very gallery Himachal's Chamba District's painting form Durga Saptashati Chapters are shown very nicely, whether be it Battle of Devi Durga with Mahisasura or be it Raktaveeja Vadha each and every paintings are so nice and elaborate. This museum also has a sales counter onto which one may get books (relating with museum) and paintings. outside the museum we saw a nice garden under this museum inside which the great statue of Lord Partha Sarathi Krishna with name Mangal Madhav is erackted. Beside this RadhaKrishna Temple is also located. Below I am attching some images taken by me during my visit."
