"The Kolkata General Post Office (GPO), located in the heritage-rich area of BBD Bagh, is a true architectural gem and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The majestic building, with its grand white dome, Corinthian pillars, and colonial design, reflects Kolkata’s historical charm. Inside, the environment is spacious and clean, and the counters are well-managed. Staff were polite and guided me well through the postal process. Apart from its functional role, the place holds great significance for history enthusiasts and photographers. A must-visit if you’re exploring the historical heart of Kolkata."

"One of oldest post office of India 🇮🇳. Established during the reigns of British rule in India. It still holds the antique structures and very well maintained till date. Presently, head office of India posts of West Bengal Circle. Staffs are co-operative and helpful. There are 20+ numbered counters, all for different purposes. Out of which 20th Counter is for stamps and 5th counter is for enquiry. Aadhar related works are also done here. Drinking water facility is also available inside."
