What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Police Museum offers a glimpse into the history of India's police forces, particularly the Kerala Police, with exhibits on historical arms and forensic science. However, visitors frequently note that the museum is not well-maintained and can have inconsistent opening hours, leading some to feel it's skippable if not deeply interested in the subject matter.
"This museum is in abundant condition. No person is there to guide."

"As per information got from Google maps on 6 October 2023 at 2:00pm I reached there to see the museum. But it was closed and locked. And I got informed that it will not be opened full day now a days but rather will be from 7am to 12pm only. The direction to reach there is also showing wrong which causes wandering. The proper way is first reach the police station and it is just at front of it."

"The Sardar Vallabhai Patel Police Museum pays tribute to the police forces of Kerala and also traces their history and development. The museum represents the historical figure, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, famously known as the ‘Iron Man of India’. One of the most famous landmarks here is the Martyrs Gallery, which includes police holds arms and ammunition of the 18th and 19th century including bullets, guns, machines, and much more. Additionally, the place endures the unknown facts about Kerala Police force and information charts on DNA tests, human bones, fingerprints and snapshots of police dogs, etc.
Timings: The museum is open on all days except for Sundays between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm"
