What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lion's Point is celebrated for its absolutely stunning panoramic views, especially during the monsoon when waterfalls and lush greenery abound. Visitors love the breathtaking sunrise/sunset vistas and the experience of enjoying local street food amidst the cool breeze. However, the lack of guardrails and potential for slippery terrain require caution, and weekend crowds can be a significant drawback.
"Lion’s Point is one of the most popular viewpoints in Lonavala, especially during monsoon. The drive up is beautiful, and once you reach the top you get wide views of valleys, waterfalls, and green hills all around. On a cloudy day, the mist rolling in makes it even more dramatic.
There are small stalls selling tea, corn, and snacks, which adds to the experience. The place does get crowded on weekends, and parking can be a little chaotic, but if you go early morning or on a weekday, it feels more peaceful.
Overall, it’s a simple spot but the views make it worth the stop if you’re in Lonavala."

Foggy Fun at Lion Point, Lonavala – A Chilled-Out Getaway!
Hi all!
Me and my friend went on a much-needed escape to Lonavala last year in September, and let me tell you — the entire place was like a dream! 🌫️🍃 We visited Lion Point, and all we could see was fog, fog, and more fog! 😂 But honestly, it was magical. The cool breeze, mist-covered cliffs, and peaceful silence made it a perfect hill station vibe.
We started our journey from Hyderabad to Pune City by bus (travels). Before reaching, I had booked a car via ZOOM Cars — selected a Renault Duster, but surprise! After reaching Pune, the Duster was unavailable, and they gave us a Kia Carens instead — a big and comfy car! We laughed saying, “Even if we don’t get a hotel, we can sleep in this car only!” 😄
Speaking of hotels, I had pre-booked a room via OYO, but unfortunately, the hotel declined our booking when we arrived. 😤 That was disappointing, but we didn’t give up — we searched nearby and actually found a better place to stay than the one we had booked. So, a small twist turned into a good thing!
We roamed around all of Lonavala, checking out the viewpoints, local stalls, and enjoyed the misty weather — just perfect for a relaxing trip away from city chaos.
Tips for Travelers:
Be prepared for unexpected weather and hotel changes.
Book trusted stays and double-confirm.
If you're visiting in monsoon or post-monsoon — fog is guaranteed!
Carry warm clothes and a camera for some Insta-worthy shots!
Lonavala is a must-visit for nature lovers and peace seekers. Lion Point was a foggy fairyland. I’ll definitely visit again with more friends!
👉 After staying for two days in Lonavala, we headed to Devkund Waterfall. 🌊"
