Big Foot: A Walk Down Memory Lane School picnics were the highlight of the year, and I still cherish those carefree days. Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Big Foot Museum as a 'hidden gem' offering a deep dive into authentic Goan heritage and rural life through impressive art and sculptures. While the displays are consistently praised for their detail and cultural significance, some guests noted that the staff could be more welcoming, impacting the overall hospitality experience.

"Visited in the last week of September 2025.
The location is a bit tricky to find as the road signs are not very clear, but Google Maps takes you to the right place without any issues. The site is quite vast, so I’d recommend setting aside at least 2 hours to explore it fully.

The entry fee is ₹150 per person. The place offers a great glimpse into Goan culture, and they provide an automated audio guide available in both English and Hindi. Initially, staff help you get started with the guide, but later on, you're mostly on your own. That said, if you need assistance, the staff are helpful and willing to play parts of the guide again on request.

The entire area is clean and well maintained. There are a few birds towards the end of the tour, and a couple of nice spots for clicking pictures. Toilets are available near the parking lot, which is convenient, and I wasn’t charged any parking fee, which was a pleasant surprise.

Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you're interested in Goan heritage and culture."

"It is a beautifully curated museum divided into two sections with 150Rs. Ticket for each section.
First section is a very detailed and beautifully created village scene of ancient Goan ancestry and traditional livelihood, culminating in a real footprint (Big-Foot) and India's longest laterite stone carving (of Sant Mirabai)
Second section is a home tour of a 400+ years old Indo-Portuguese mansion- the Carlos Alvares house.
It is totally worth a visit to get an idea of an authentic Goan lifestyle and history. You can also buy traditional Goan curious/ souvenirs from the shop there.
And don't forget to post a postcard (ask for it at the ticket counter) with a special cancelation stamp to your dear ones as a souvenir from Goa."
