Sewri Fort is a quiet historical landmark offering serene waterfront views and a glimpse into Mumbai's past. While its preserved structure and scenic location are appreciated, visitors note issues with cleanliness, potential closures, and challenging access. The surrounding mudflats are a draw for nature lovers, though flamingo sightings are not guaranteed.
"There are a lot of flies around due to the stagnant sea and litter around. The fort is closed until further notice. From the backside you can see a view of atal setu. Lots of trucks around. Try to visit after sunrise and before sunset for safety reasons."

"Illegal Dargah construction around the place...very Dirty....all over illegal encroachment by Dargah/Masjid/Madrasa"

"Quiet fort. Doesn't seem to get too much foot traffic. You can see the mudflats from here. We couldn't see the flamingoes when we went in early December, but roaming around the fort more than made up for it. Interesting layout. Very fun to explore. There are a bunch of creepy flamingo sculptures all around the fort which are interesting.
Taxi drivers have a tough time finding this place for some reason. Make sure you have a ride back before coming here. Or make sure to ask you cab driver to wait (if you did not bring your own mode of transport)."
