What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nagarahole National Park at Kabini is widely praised as a serene and exciting wildlife destination, offering frequent tiger sightings and a rich diversity of fauna. Visitors appreciate the well-managed safaris and the immersive jungle experience, though spotting elusive animals like the black panther can be challenging. Booking safaris in advance is crucial for a successful visit.
"One of the serene and exciting wild life safaris that one can go to.
Have been here thrice and everytime we have been blessed with so many tiger sighting.
The only creature that we were not lucky enough to capture is the Black Panther.
Otherwise you can spot Vultures, Tigers, Wild Elephants, Peacocks and what not!
Don’t forget to experience both the Safaris - the Jeep and the Boat."

"Popular national park run by the government. Tigers are there but hard to find during our 2 safaris. Lots of deer and monkeys. Fair number of elephants. You have to book early to get places in the vehicle. If you are a serious safari person, book a place in the jeep and not the bus (cantor). It's worth it as only 8 persons in jeep and great for photography. Get a good guide to go with you - you may have to pay for one."

"Well maintained by Karnataka State Forest Department. Good diversity of Flower and Fauna. You can see Indian giant squirrel ( Malabar giant squirrel) /Ratufa indica. I was lucky to view and capture the canopy of entire reserve."

Keep your eyes peeled for herds of elephants, elusive leopards, majestic gaurs, numerous deer species, and playful monkeys. The diverse birdlife also makes it a paradise for ornithologists.
To maximize your chances of sightings, opt for the early morning or late afternoon safaris when animals are most active. Remember to book your safari tickets well in advance, especially for the popular jeep slots, as they sell out rapidly.
Conservation Efforts and Park Management
The park's management focuses on maintaining the delicate balance of the ecosystem, controlling poaching, and ensuring sustainable tourism practices. The introduction of online booking systems for safaris aims to regulate visitor numbers and reduce the impact on wildlife.
