"The place is known as Nagar castle. The art gallery is in the memory and honour of Famous Russian artist, philosopher Nicholas Roerich and his wife Roerich who is also a Russian writer and Theosophist. Both were living in Manali and their living place is later converted to museum and art gallery where Different art of Nicholas Roerich was showcased. The place is 25km from Manali. To visit this place you have to book a taxi/ other vehicle. The place is above the mountain and the road is steeper, so a aerial view of Manali is visible from the above. Entry fee is minimal and you don't have to book in advance. Sometimes the place is closed due to specific reason by the state government tourism department, so before visiting this place better confirm whether the place is open / closed. Outside the art gallery some local handicraft shops are also present along with the Nicolas exhibition and souvenir."
