What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Chaturbhuj Temple as an architectural marvel with a significant historical and religious background. The panoramic views from the top are a major highlight, offering a unique perspective of Orchha. While the temple's grandeur is appreciated, some note that maintenance could be improved.
"Orchha's Chaturbhuj Temple is an ancient architectureal gem that is attracting devotees and antiquarians for centuries. I was absolutely spellbound after visiting this magnificent temple. Although the actual temple area is small (on the ground floor), but the architecture, narrow adventurous stairways to reach the top floor, high ceilings and the overall vibe offer an experience like no other place. It's situated adjacent to the famous Raja Ram Mandir and to reach the upper floor you can show the gatekeeper your ticket 🎫 of Orchha Fort and he will open the gate for you. However, please ensure safety because the upper section doesn't have any railing or grill. Even the large windows lack any protection. So, keep yourself and your children safe. Today, this heritage temple is one of the most important Indian monuments that have successfully stood the test of time. Highly suggest everyone to visit here, at least once.😇💛"

"The best Mandir at Orchha and possibly one of the tallest in India. Need ticket to enter, which can be procured from the ticket counter ar Orchha fort, so plan accordingly. One needs to climb up the narrow steps to reach the top once inside the main temple sanctum. The view from the top is great. One can clearly see the Orchha fort, Ram Raja mandir and Lakshmi temple from here. Be carefull not to go towards the edges (risk of falling)."
