"It’s a part of orchha fort. We didn’t stay here but went for a quick break for evening tea. We ordered paneer pakoda, grilled sandwich, tea and cold coffee. Everything ordered was super tasty especially paneer pakoda and chutney.
Good food experience"

"We only went to restaurant and didn't stay at hotel. Location is bang centrally, near all tourist centers. Plenty of parking. Food is average but fresh lime soda was good. AC is a respite from hot summers. Washrooms were near n clean . Food was hygienic."

"The ambiance and the food are excellent.
Situated between two palaces this Royal abode was constructed later.
The rooms above are excellent but you have to climb 25 to 30 steps.
The beds are some how separated in one has to make a special request to join them.
Bathroom needs more cleaning and maintenance.
The haldrop also required some repair.
The rooms below are not up to the mark and power failure due to some electrical fault, which took some hours to repair
prevented us to stay in the room till evening.
The swimming pool facility is available at a distance (another resort far away)."

The Allure of Mirror Work

The defining feature of any Sheesh Mahal is its intricate mirror work. These palaces are adorned with countless small, precisely cut mirrors embedded into walls, ceilings, and arches. The effect is breathtaking, creating a dazzling spectacle as light bounces and multiplies, filling the space with shimmering patterns. This technique, often referred to as 'pietra dura' when combined with inlaid precious or semi-precious stones, was a hallmark of Mughal architecture, designed to create an illusion of infinite space and celestial beauty. The craftsmanship involved is a testament to the skill of artisans from centuries past. Instagram+1

A Tale of Different Sheesh Mahals

Instagram In India, the Amber Fort in Jaipur boasts a renowned Sheesh Mahal, celebrated for its stunning mirror mosaics. Instagram Other notable Sheesh Mahals can be found in places like Chiniot, Pakistan, and as part of heritage hotels in Orchha and Jaipur, each offering a unique glimpse into royal history and architectural brilliance.
