What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Attukad Waterfalls is lauded as a magical and beautiful spot in Munnar, especially during the monsoon for its full, cascading flow and lush surroundings. Visitors praise the scenic drive, the unique bridge view, and the charming tea stall for photography. While entry is free, the roads can be tricky, and caution is advised near the water.
"Choose this in your itenary after checking with the locals coz it is worth the travel only during the monsoon time or when it has ample water flowing through the stream. Just don't choose this blindly by seeing the instagram reels. Most importantly the drive to the falls is through extremely narrow and steep roads so make sure you are experienced driving person. There is no proper parking place as well you have to park you car in the sideways. Prefer visiting here during weekdays and avoid rush hours to get a easy travel. There is only one shop near the falls where you can get some tea coffee or maggi. Better to take a two wheeler or auto or a local transport nearby the place and travel here rather than taking your own car."

"Attukadu Waterfalls is one of the most picturesque spots in Munnar. The waterfall, cascading down amidst dense greenery and rocky hills, creates a truly mesmerizing sight. The sound of the water, combined with the fresh air, makes it a refreshing escape into nature.
The drive towards the falls is an experience in itself – narrow winding roads, scenic valleys, and misty mountains all around. Once you reach, you can enjoy the view, take pictures, or simply sit back and soak in the calm atmosphere.
The best time to visit is during or just after the monsoon season, when the water flow is strong and the surroundings are at their greenest. In summer, the flow can be a bit low, but the natural charm of the place still makes it worth visiting."

"Well if anyone planning to visit now - probably not a good idea. It's nothing like you see in those Instagram reels.
Not much water . Try to come in the monsoon season to see properly.
Also the road towards this waterfall is kinda dangerous and narrow. So take caution and avoid night travel"
