What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Peeru Hills is lauded as a beautiful and refreshing natural spot, particularly loved by families for its serene ambiance and stunning mountain views. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained trails and the magical fog that often graces the landscape, especially during early morning and late evening visits. While the beauty is undeniable, some caution is advised regarding leeches, and it's recommended to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.
"It’s a lovely place with a wonderful ambience — my kids absolutely loved it! This was my daughter’s first trek up a small mountain we fondly call Mottakunnu. We started early and reached around 7–7:30 a.m., which turned out to be perfect as it wasn’t crowded at all.
The location is incredibly photogenic, offering stunning views of the mountains and rivers from the top. The road to the spot is well-maintained, making the drive pleasant.
One small word of caution — watch out for leeches, as my wife had a bit of an unpleasant encounter with them. Other than that, it was a refreshing and memorable family outing that we truly enjoyed."

"Panchalimedu is a beautiful and cool destination worth visiting. Entry is ticketed, and if you ask for permission, you can safely keep your bags or helmets at the office, which is very convenient. The place also has a Rama temple, and the soothing temple music in the background adds to the peaceful vibe.
For adventure lovers, there’s a zipline (₹350 per person). Early morning or evening visits are the best time to experience the magical kodamanju (fog). We went around 11 AM, and though it was partly sunny, the moody weather still felt special.
The place can get crowded, especially on weekends, so weekdays are better if you prefer a calm visit. There are also many photographic spots for capturing the scenic beauty. Panchalimedu has some hidden places and trails too, which add to the charm if you love exploring offbeat corners.
Overall, it was a refreshing and memorable trip. Panchalimedu is worth a stop, and with plenty of tourist attractions around Kuttikkanam, it’s easy to plan a full day of exploration."

"It's an amazing place to spend the day. The vast mountains and misty valleys make this location truly breathtaking. The entry fee is cheap, and it's accessible to the elderly because most of it is paved. There are free toilet facilities available, and you can find snacks and tea stalls at both the entrance and inside. Benches are available for those who want to sit and enjoy the scenery, and there are zip-line activities inside for those who seek a little more thrill."
