The temple's historical and mythological importance as a Jyotirlinga and Char Dham site deeply resonates with devotees. While the experience is often described as cleansing and transformative, some find the crowds and the organized nature of rituals to be a bit overwhelming or costly.

"The temple’s architecture is beautiful, with its long corridors and intricate pillars. The 22 well bath is something special: at each well, the attendants pour water over you from buckets, and each well is said to have a different taste and feel. The process is well-organized, though be prepared to get completely drenched, so dress accordingly. Whether you visit for faith, culture, or history, this temple is a must-see in Rameshwaram.A truly spiritual and unique experience.

"Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, is a sacred Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. As one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples, it holds immense spiritual significance and draws thousands of devotees every day.

We started at Agni Theertham, where I took a holy dip in the calm sea-an experience that felt truly cleansing and transformative. I then proceeded to the 22 Kund Snan, where water from each of the 22 wells is believed to have unique curative and purifying powers. Carry a set of dry clothes with you for Darshanam or you can change in your hotel/lodge if its near by. It took me about 1–2 hours in the free queue to complete the Darshan."

"Very Nice Temple.
You have to take Bath in 22 kund( we took Rs 25 normal ticket), You can also hire agent/tour guide of Rs 250 (to avoid the long queue) and agni Teertham in one day and can visit temple another day.
Early morning 4AM -5 AM (Sphatik Darshan)
After 7 AM ( Normal Ramnathswamy Darshan )There is no abhishek offerings and do not fall for any traps of tickets .
NOTE -After Sphatik lingam Darshan ,you have to re-enter from EAST gate again and take the ticket again and have to go for normal Ramnathswamy Darshan (places at the same place )

You can also roam around whole Rameshwaram which cover 12-15 places with the help of travel and tourism cab services .

Near Agni Teertham ,you can also enjoy Boat ride (Rs 100)"
